Baseball Recap: Apache Takes a Loss

Apache and Fletcher squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Apache had to settle for second. They fell 6-2 to the Wildcats. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

Apache's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Fletcher, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season.

Apache will look to defend their home field on Friday against Cordell at 4:30 p.m. As for Fletcher, they will venture away from home to challenge Ripley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
