McNeil hadn't done well against Cedar Ridge recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The McNeil Mavericks walked away with a 64-52 victory over the Cedar Ridge Raiders. This was a revenge game for the Mavericks: when they faced off against the Raiders back in January, they had to take a 53-39 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Cedar Ridge lost, don't look at Bryson Batton. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 11 en route to 19 points. The dominant performance also gave Batton a new career-high in field goal percentage (73%). Another player making a difference was Randall Guidry, who posted 11 points and seven boards.

McNeil's win bumped their record up to 6-25. As for Cedar Ridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-21 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Manor the next time they take the court. McNeil will head out to face Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Cedar Ridge will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th.
