Softball Recap: Steelville Comes Up Short

The matchup between Steelville and Houston on Tuesday hardly resembled the 3-0 effort from their previous meeting. Steelville came up short against Houston, falling 20-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cardinals of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Steelville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Marley Eilert, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Steelville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Steelville will face off against West County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Houston, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Houston Tigers face off against Mansfield Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
