Soccer Recap: Raleigh Charter Takes a Loss

If Raleigh Charter was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Wake Prep Academy last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Raleigh Charter fell just short of the East Wake Academy Eagles by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. Raleigh Charter were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Wake Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Anisha Kathpalia and Tori Lutz scored both of Raleigh Charter's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Raleigh Charter's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for East Wake Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Raleigh Charter will square off against rival NCSSM: Durham at 6:00 p.m. on April 7. Meanwhile, East Wake Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Wake Prep Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
