On Monday, Bishop Noland Episcopal Day came up short against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool and fell 55-44. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this matchup were averaging 27.25 points allowed.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jacob Buckhalter, who posted ten points and three steals. Buckhalter is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Kollin Jackson was another key player, putting up 12 points and six assists.
Meanwhile, Brighton played a tough contest on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Faith Training Christian Academy 63-24. The Bengals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-14.
Bishop Noland Episcopal Day will have to keep a close watch on Reid Williams and Davis Wolfe, a pair of players who had a big impact on Brighton's prior game. Williams earned four points and nine rebounds, while Wolfe scored eight points.
Having lost for the first time this season, Bishop Noland Episcopal Day fell to 3-1. As for Brighton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
