Volleyball Recap: Roma Molinari and Kamryn Simcox Secure Win for Melbourne + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Melbourne, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Pineapple Cove Classical Academy Patriots with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Melbourne was: they took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-9.

Leading Melbourne to victory were Kamryn Simcox and Roma Molinari. Simcox had nine digs, while Molinari had 11 assists. That's the most digs Simcox has posted over her last eight contests. Juliana Silvestri also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Melbourne was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pineapple Cove Classical Academy only served three aces.

Despite the defeat, Pineapple Cove Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Yaneilys Aybar had 12 digs.

Melbourne pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Melbourne will square off against Harmony at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pineapple Cove Classical Academy has already played their next match (against Merritt Island Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
