It's playoff time, and Coeur d'Alene had no trouble coming through when it counted. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-14 victory over the Madison Bobcats. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Leading Coeur d'Alene to victory were Tannar Stern and Priest Palmgren. Stern threw for 246 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes, while Palmgren rushed for 117 yards and one score on only six carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 69 yards. Maddox Lindquist made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Coeur d'Alene didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lindquist and Ben Murray. Lindquist got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win was the fourth in a row for Coeur d'Alene, bringing their record up to 7-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.3 points on average over those games. As for Madison, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Coeur d'Alene will square off against Timberline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Stern and Jack Brant. Madison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
