Softball Recap: Monticello Mustangs vs. Spotswood Trailblazers
Monticello and Spotswood squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Monticello had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Spotswood Trailblazers by a score of 5-4. Monticello has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Sammi Deitsch made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last six games she's played.
Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Spotswood, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-5.
