Softball Recap: Van Makes It 16 in a Row at Home

While Van put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Kemp. The Vandals were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Yellowjackets. Considering the Vandals have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Van pushed their record up to 21-3-2 with the victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Kemp, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-20.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Van will square off against Brownsboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vandals will need to watch out since the Bears have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Kemp, they will face off against Kerens at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
