Basketball Recap: Lausanne Collegiate Comes Up Short

Lausanne Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a blow against the Helias Crusaders, falling 76-48. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lynx came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 154th in Tennessee, while the Crusaders are ranked 343rd in Missouri).

Despite the defeat, Lausanne Collegiate saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zuri Mcclure posted 15 points. Patrick Thompson was another key player, putting up ten points.

Lausanne Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Helias, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Lausanne Collegiate will take on Trezevant at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lausanne Collegiate is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.4 points per game this season. As for Helias, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-52 win against Eugene on the 29th.
