Volleyball Recap: Catalina Rebolloso and Laven Blumoff Secure Win for Austin

Austin won the last time they faced Bowie and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Maroons blew past the Bulldogs 3-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Maroons.

Austin never let Bowie on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 31-29, 25-18.

Austin was led to victory by Laven Blumoff and Catalina Rebolloso. Blumoff had 14 digs and four assists, while Rebolloso had six digs. That's the most digs Rebolloso has posted over her last six matchups.

Austin's victory bumped their record up to 33-5. As for Bowie, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-18 record this season.

Austin wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Westlake on the 9th. As for Bowie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Dripping Springs on the 10th.
