Softball Recap: Luling Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Luling's offense. They came up short against the Poth Pirates on Friday, falling 16-0. The Eagles have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Luling now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Poth, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Luling will take on rival Goliad at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Poth is set to challenge their familiar foe Nixon-Smiley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
