Softball Recap: Sweetwater Takes a Loss

Sweetwater fell victim to Roane County and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The Wildcats have struggled against the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Sweetwater's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Roane County, the win keeps they at an undefeated 12-0.

Sweetwater and Roane County should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Wildcats (ranked 48th) will meet McMinn Central (ranked 128th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Roane County will challenge Meigs County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (46 vs. 195).
