Football Recap: Orange Lutheran Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Orange Lutheran had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 3-4 to make it four. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the St. John Bosco Braves. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Lancers were not able to get on the board.

Ezrah Brown threw for 79 yards while completing 75% of his passes. Chris Flores Jr was his top target, picking up 31 receiving yards. On the ground, Sean Morris Jr rushed for 42 yards.

As for St. John Bosco, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.9 points on average this season.

St. John Bosco found their leader in sophomore Koa Malau'ulu, who threw for 258 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. Malau'ulu is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last three games he's played. Corey Hinton helped Malau'ulu out on the ground, rushing for 87 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Orange Lutheran will venture away from home to challenge JSerra Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 36.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. John Bosco, they will head out to square off against Santa Margarita at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 12.6 points per game this season, so the Braves' offense will have their work cut out for them.
