Baseball Recap: King's Academy Find Success

King's Academy was not the first on the board on Friday, but they got there more often. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Sacred Heart Prep Gators. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won four in a row.

Thomas Castro tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, King's Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

King's Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Sacred Heart Prep, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-18.

As of now, neither King's Academy nor the Gators have any future games scheduled.
