Recap: Balmorhea Bears vs. Dell City Cougars
The Balmorhea Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Dell City as Balmorhea made off with a 75-51 victory. Balmorhea has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 24 points or more this season.
Despite the loss, Dell City still got an impressive performance from Reyes Espinoza, who scored 22 points along with five assists and four steals. That was a full 43.1% of Dell City's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Isaac Estrada was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Balmorhea has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Dell City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
Balmorhea will head out on the road to take on McCamey at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McCamey is on a three-game streak of home wins, Balmorhea a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court. Dell City will take on Marfa at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Marfa will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
