Volleyball Game Preview: Air Academy Kadets vs. Palmer Ridge Bears + How To Watch

The Air Academy Kadets will face off against the Palmer Ridge Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer Ridge took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Air Academy, who comes in off a win.

Air Academy needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight matches and they got it from Shelbe Lyons. The Kadets came out on top against Discovery Canyon by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Lyons, who had 17 digs and four assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last eight games she's played.

Air Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 26-24, 25-11, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Palmer Ridge came up short against Lutheran on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Bears have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-14, 25-20.

Palmer Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Air Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.

Air Academy skirted past Palmer Ridge 3-2 in their previous meeting back in September. Will the Kadets repeat their success, or do the Bears have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
