Basketball Recap: Crawfordsville Athenians vs. Southmont Mounties
Crawfordsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 57-27 loss at the hands of the Southmont Mounties. The Athenians were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mounties from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.
Despite the loss, Crawfordsville still got an impressive performance from Celeste Moore, who posted seven points and eight boards. Ally Strickland also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Even though they lost, Crawfordsville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.
