Baseball Recap: Michigan Lutheran Comes Up Short

Michigan Lutheran was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Bridgman Bees. If the Titans were looking for revenge after losing 9-6 to the Bees when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colton Stegman and Ty Johnson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Stegman went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI, while Johnson went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Johnson is becoming a predictor of Michigan Lutheran's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 2-5 when he doesn't).

Michigan Lutheran now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Bridgman, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-4.

While Michigan Lutheran had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
