Clinton Christian Academy had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They came out on top against the Overland Christian Eagle by a score of 44-36. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was another big night for Clara Hyke, who went 8 of 18 en route to 17 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Vaughn, who posted seven points and five boards.

Clinton Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Clinton Christian Academy now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Overland Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Clinton Christian Academy will host Heartland at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Overland Christian, they and Christian Learning Center will face off at 6:15 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
