Maxwell and Cimarron are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2020, but not for long. The Maxwell Bears are taking a road trip to take on the Cimarron Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Maxwell came up short against Springer last Thursday, falling 60-39. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Cimarron against New Mexico School for the Deaf on Thursday as the squad secured a 44-13 victory. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Roadrunners recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Cimarron's victory bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Maxwell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-15.

Maxwell was able to grind out a solid win over Cimarron in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 53-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Maxwell since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
