Preview: Union Star Trojans vs. Guadalupe Centers Aztecs
The Union Star Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Guadalupe Centers Aztecs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with 13 consecutive losses apiece.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 61-23, which was the final score in Union Star's tilt against North Nodaway on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Guadalupe Centers took a serious blow against The Daniel Academy on Friday, falling 67-26. Guadalupe Centers was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-14.
Union Star's defeat was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Guadalupe Centers, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
Everything came up roses for Union Star against Guadalupe Centers in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 47-14 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Union Star since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
