Volleyball Game Preview: Gilbert Tigers vs. Campo Verde Coyotes

The Gilbert Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Campo Verde Coyotes at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gilbert has now lost 11 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 29.

Gilbert came up short against Higley on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17, 25-13.

Meanwhile, Campo Verde entered their match against Arizona College Prep on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Coyotes fell just short of the Knights by a score of 3-2.

Campo Verde's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 17-7. As for Gilbert, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18.

Gilbert suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Campo Verde when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
