Basketball Recap: Creekside Seminoles vs. Midtown Knights
Creekside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt an 86-45 loss at the hands of the Midtown Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Seminoles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 84-61 back in December of 2024.

Creekside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Daylen Jones, who posted 18 points and three steals, and AJ McKissic, who had eight points. That's the most points McKissic has posted since back in November of 2024. Amari Estis also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.
Midtown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zuri Mesquitte led the charge by going 7 of 9 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Elonzo Milla was another key player, going 5 for 7 en route to 15 points and seven boards.
Creekside's loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Midtown, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-6.
Creekside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 78-34 defeat against Pace Academy on the 28th. As for Midtown, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 64-42 loss against Jackson on the 28th.
