Chula Vista saw some tournament action on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-39 victory over Castle Park. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Rock Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-41 loss at the hands of Tournament Opponent.

Chula Vista will have to contain James Whitley as he made an impact in Rock Academy's last game. He went 11 for 24 on his way to 29 points in addition to five boards and three blocks. That was a full 70.7% of Rock Academy's points, marking the tenth time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Quiban, who put up three points.

Chula Vista is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.1 points per game. As for Rock Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.
