Basketball Game Preview: Union Local Jets vs. Beaver Local Beavers

The Union Local Jets will take on the Beaver Local Beavers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Union Local will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Last Tuesday, Union Local blew past Shadyside, posting a 78-37 victory. Given the Jets' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 201st, while the Tigers are ranked 765th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Beaver Local, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 73-49 margin over Hubbard on Tuesday. The Beavers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Beaver Local has also been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Union Local, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-5.
