The Clifton Mustangs will head out to square off against the Cliffside Park Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Clifton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

Clifton took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over Kennedy. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Mustangs considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Andrea Cedeno made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Cedeno was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Natasha Aviles, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Jordan Kulesa, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Clifton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .389. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Cliffside Park unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of Teaneck by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Raiders have suffered since May 1, 2024.

Clifton moved to 3-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Cliffside Park, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
