Volleyball Game Preview: Burlington Red Devils vs. Stoneham Spartans

Burlington is a perfect 10-0 against Stoneham since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to challenge the Spartans at 5:30 p.m. Burlington will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Burlington made easy work of Wilmington and carried off a 3-0 win.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-20, 25-5.

Burlington can attribute much of their success to Eesha Vishnumalakala, who had six aces, and Lexie Carmody, who had ten digs and one assist. Those six aces gave Vishnumalakala a new career-high. Tessa McCann also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Meanwhile, Stoneham sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Winthrop on Saturday.

Burlington's record now sits at 8-1. As for Stoneham, their record is now 4-5.

Everything went Burlington's way against Stoneham when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Burlington made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Spartans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
