Volleyball Recap: Washington-Wilkes Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Washington-Wilkes had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 2-0 to the Oglethorpe County Patriots on Tuesday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 15 in a row.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-3.

The win (which was Oglethorpe County's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Coincidentally, Washington-Wilkes and Oglethorpe County will both be playing Monroe Area the next time they take the court. The Tigers will head out to face the Purple Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Patriots will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
