Softball Recap: Casey County Gets the Win

Casey County hadn't done well against Pulaski County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Rebels came out on top against the Maroons by a score of 8-4. This was payback for the Rebels, who suffered a 10-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Harmony Meece spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits.

At the plate, Casey County got a big performance out of Emily Jeffries, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kallie Roy, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

The victory got Casey County back to even at 10-10. As for Pulaski County, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14-1.

Coming up, Casey County will challenge Mercer County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pulaski County will be paying especially close attention to the Rebels' matchup: after the Rebels face off against the Titans, they'll take on Pulaski County again at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
