Aaron Lake posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Ellwood City is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 1-2 otherwise.

Lake's effort led Ellwood City over Riverside and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverine have some work to do to even out the 1-9 series between these two since April of 2018, but a win here would be a good start.
