League recap: Dakota extends winning streak with victory over Roseville

Dakota extended the longest winning streak in Macomb Area - Red this week by beating Roseville, 55-6. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Dakota took down the Panthers 55-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Richmon Render threw for 85 yards and one touchdown and ran for 26 yards in the win.

Zach Rizo provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Romeo topped Anchor Bay. He completed 11 passes for 149 yards and one touchdown and also ran for 118 yards. Rizo's favorite target this week was Evan Richardson, who caught five passes for 74 yards.

Trevon Bauch was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 29 carries, he ran for 189 yards as Utica Stevenson fell to Mott. Jonathan Griffin also contributed to the rushing game with 33 yards on the ground.

Joe Zerafa put up the best numbers through the air as Utica Eisenhower bested Cousino. He finished with four completions for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Zerafa's favorite target this week was Paul Harper, who caught three passes for 64 yards.

Sykes was the best wideout in the league this week as the Titans lost to the Marauders. Sykes tallied six receptions for 118 yards. Bauch helped Utica Stevenson's passing attack out by catching two balls for 47 yards.

Utica Stevenson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Titans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kyle Maxson has thrown for 1444 yards and 15 touchdowns this season, while Sykes has 24 catches for 626 yards. Bauch leads the league in rushing with 892 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chippewa Valley takes on Mike Giannone's team. At the moment, the Big Reds are in fifth, while the Cougars are in first.

Dakota led the league in scoring this week after putting up 55 points on Roseville. Render in the win.
