Woods Charter has gone a perfect 4-0 against Southern Wake Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. Wolves will head out to face off against the Lions at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Wolves' defense stepped up to hand Clover Garden School a 9-0 shutout on Monday. Woods Charter's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four games.

Meanwhile, Southern Wake Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 goals) and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They blew past the Jaguars 6-0. Hannah Torri was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Southern Wake Academy pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five matches. As for Woods Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4-1.

Everything went Woods Charter's way against Southern Wake Academy when the teams last played back in April, as Woods Charter made off with an 8-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wolves since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
