Baseball Recap: Del City Eagles vs. Pryor Tigers        
        
		
            
 With a playoff game on the line, Del City rose to the challenge  on Thursday. They skirted past the Pryor Tigers  6-4. The  win was some much needed relief for Del City as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
  George Gouldsby made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off only  two  hits. Gouldsby was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Mikale Standifer was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Blake Barker, who  went 1-for-2 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 On Pryor's side,  Bryce Pathkiller was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out ten batters over  4.2 innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits.
 On the hitting side,  Gavin Roberts made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played.
 Even though they lost, Pryor  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 13  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Del City's victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 6-28. As for Pryor, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 22-14 record  this season.
 As of now, neither Del City nor Pryor have any future games scheduled.
