La Joya Community won the last time they faced Maryvale and things went their way on Monday too. The Fighting Lobos were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Panthers.

The win didn't come easy: Maryvale scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-23, 26-24.

Nayana Walton paced La Joya Community's offense, picking up 16 kills. Walton got some help from Samantha Yee and her 24 assists.

La Joya Community has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. As for Maryvale, they dropped their record down to 3-11 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
