Baseball Recap: Choctawhatchee Triumphs

Choctawhatchee hadn't beaten Navarre on the road since March 10, 2020 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Indians walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Raiders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Jack Marracco made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Seth Young, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Carter Marracco, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Choctawhatchee kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Navarre only managed three.

Choctawhatchee has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Choctawhatchee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-4 defeat against Niceville on the 13th. As for Navarre, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Crestview on the 13th.
