Recap: Mountain House Mustangs vs. Pacheco Panthers
The Mountain House Mustangs entered their tilt with the Pacheco Panthers with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Mountain House really took it to Pacheco for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-23 victory on the road. That looming 59-23 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Mountain House yet this season.
Mountain House's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jordan Assefa, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds. Thomas Pinn was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Mountain House has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Pacheco, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain House will square off against Lathrop at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lathrop will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1010th, while Mountain House is ranked 185th). As for Pacheco, they will head out on the road to face off against Los Banos at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Los Banos is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
