Basketball Recap: Clarion-Limestone Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Clarion-Limestone had won four straight home games and Jase Ferguson did his part to make it five on Thursday. Everything went the Clarion-Limestone Lions' way against the Union Knights/Damsels as the Clarion-Limestone Lions made off with a 70-50 win thanks in part to Ferguson, who went 12 of 17 en route to 26 points along with eight boards and five steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Aidan Wilson, who went 6 for 7 on his way to 13 points. Those 13 points gave him a new career-high.

When it comes to explaining why Union lost, don't look at Gage Jordan. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 18 points and 22 rebounds. Jordan is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Jorge Reyes was another key player, putting up eight points and five boards.

Clarion-Limestone has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.9 points per game. As for Union, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Clarion-Limestone has already played their next match, a 54-50 victory against Cameron County on the 25th. As for Union, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-24 win against Reynolds on the 25th.
