Football Game Preview: C4 E Eagles vs. Cincinnati Eagles

C4 E is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Saturday. They are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Cincinnati at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

C4 E's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They breezed past Crimson Knights to the tune of 40-0. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 705th in Ohio, while Crimson Knights are ranked 317th in Indiana).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cincinnati). They blew past Stivers School for the Arts, posting a 40-12 win. With the Eagles ahead 40-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

C4 E better keep an eye on Jordan Jacobson. He was instrumental in Cincinnati's win, rushing for 64 yards and a pair of TDs on only five carries. Jacobson also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because the Eagles are undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Cincinnati was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 257 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Cincinnati and bumps their season record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 27.5 points over those games. As for C4 E, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

C4 E couldn't quite get it done against Cincinnati when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 20-13. Can C4 E avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
