For the second straight game, Lamar Consolidated will face off against Weiss. The Mustangs will be playing at home against the Wolves at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Lamar Consolidated is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 12.2 runs per game this season.

Lamar Consolidated heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Thursday. They came up short against Weiss, falling 14-3. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

For Weiss' part, Jordynn Booe was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Booe was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Weiss got a massive performance out of Anabella Gomez, who fired off two home runs and six RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave Gomez a new career-high. Aubrey Santos was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles.

Weiss was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .515. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Weiss, bringing their record up to 20-11. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.4 runs over those games. As for Lamar Consolidated, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-4.

Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lamar Consolidated hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .442. However, it's not like Weiss struggles in that department as they've averaged .326. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
