Lake Ridge Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kathryn Krueger, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Krueger has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Shmois, who scored ten points.
Lake Ridge Academy's defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.8 points per game. As for Horizon Science Academy, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.
Lake Ridge Academy will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Open Door Christian at 6:00 p.m. Horizon Science Academy won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. John at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
