Soccer Game Preview: Fort Dorchester vs. Ashley Ridge

Fort Dorchester is 0-10 against Ashley Ridge since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Patriots will host the Swamp Foxes at 7:00 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Things were looking good for Fort Dorchester after they put the first goals on the board on Saturday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Gray Collegiate Academy by a score of 2-1.

Fort Dorchester's goal came courtesy of Olivia Bastarache, who's now up to 12 this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Ashley Ridge and West Ashley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Swamp Foxes fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 2-1 on Friday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Ashley Ridge couldn't quite close it out.

Ashley Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Fort Dorchester, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
