Holmes is 8-2 against Northeastern since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Aces will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Holmes came up short against First Flight on Wednesday, falling 13-5. The Aces haven't had much luck with the Nighthawks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Holmes saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Harper Evans, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double. Another was Emma Nixon, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Meanwhile, Northeastern fell victim to Gates County and their airtight pitching crew last Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Red Barons. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Holmes' defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Northeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Holmes got the 'W' when the teams last played back in March of 2025 against Northeastern by a conclusive 17-0 score. Will the Aces repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
