Baseball Recap: Freeburg Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Freeburg can now relate to. They fell 10-5 to the Waterloo Bulldogs on Friday. The Midgets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Ethan Foster made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Cole Miller, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Freeburg's defeat dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Waterloo, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-10 record this season.

As of now, neither Freeburg nor Waterloo have any future games scheduled.
