Softball Recap: Fountain Central's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fountain Central had no problem doing just that on Monday. They came out on top against the Faith Christian Eagles by a score of 9-5. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-1 back in April.

Jacquelynn Weber was excellent, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Kyra Kiger was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

With the victory, Fountain Central broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-17. As for Faith Christian, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-21.

Looking ahead, Fountain Central will challenge Lafayette Central Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
