Softball Game Preview: West Valley Wolf Pack vs. Colony Knights

The West Valley Wolf Pack will square off against the Colony Knights at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

West Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Lathrop, who was ranked 18th at the time (West Valley was ranked 20th). The Wolf Pack fell just short of the Malemutes by a score of 9-8 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Colony came tearing into Friday's game with 17 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Malemutes 25-2. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six runs or more this season.

West Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Colony, their win bumped their record up to 28-2.
