Volleyball Recap: Lapeer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lapeer was the 3-1 winner over Grand Blanc when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lightning fell just short of the Bobcats by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Lightning have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lapeer took Grand Blanc into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking 11-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 22-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-4.

Despite the defeat, Lapeer saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Nina Jostock had 19 digs and two aces. Those 19 digs set a new season-high mark for Jostock.

Lapeer's loss dropped their record down to 2-11-1. As for Grand Blanc, they pushed their record up to 4-12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Lapeer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Carman-Ainsworth on the 23rd. As for Grand Blanc, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Rochester on the 22nd.
