Basketball Recap: Crownpoint Victorious

Crownpoint won the last time they faced Zuni, and Courtney Craig did her part to make sure it happened again. The Crownpoint Eagles came out on top against the Zuni Thunderbirds by a score of 48-40 on Tuesday which was due in part to Craig, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 12 boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Destiny Begay was another key player, putting up five points. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Crownpoint's record is now 11-12. As for Zuni, their loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-19.

Crownpoint didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 45-43 win against Newcomb on the 13th. As for Zuni, they have also already played their next contest, a 42-36 defeat against Thoreau on the 13th.
