Recap: Sacred Heart Indians vs. Concordia Cardinals
The Sacred Heart Indians stacked a 22nd blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Concordia at home to the tune of 82-55. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-23.
Sacred Heart was led to victory by Hudson Kutac and Andrew Steffek. Kutac shot 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 steals, while Steffek dropped a double-double on 32 points and 18 rebounds. Kutac also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Klayton Chance was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with four steals.
Sacred Heart has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6 record this season. As for Concordia, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing St. Paul the next time they take the court. Sacred Heart will host St. Paul at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, while Concordia will host them at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
