Volleyball Recap: Huron Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Huron managed to slip by Yankton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers lost 3-0 to the Bucks/Gazelles on Tuesday. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-20.

Leading Yankton to victory were Halle Wortmann and Brenna Elwood. Wortmann had 12 digs and five assists, while Elwood had 20 assists and six digs. Those five assists gave Wortmann a new career-high. Ellie Drotzmann also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Huron's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Yankton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Huron and Yankton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings. The Tigers will take on Aberdeen Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (69 vs. 14). Meanwhile, Yankton (ranked 92nd) will meet Mitchell (ranked 30th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
